About Matt
It Started in 2007
Matt started his financial journey in 2007 as a sophomore studying Finance at the University of Iowa. It was the same year he met his wife, Erin. In the years that followed, Matt had a front-row seat to the financial turmoil our country was facing. He began an internship with Northwestern Mutual in 2009, where he learned the basics of life insurance and risk management. Shortly after his graduation in 2011, he began working in 401(k) and investment account administration in Chicago. It didn’t take long for him to feel the pull of nature and mountains, and he headed west for Colorado. In 2012, Matt began work as a service advisor for Financial Resource Partners, LLC. Within a few years, he developed a reputation for excellent customer service and problem-solving. As his experience grew, he took an ever-increasing role, now meeting with clients face to face and helping to design financial plans. From 2017 to 2022, he grew their investment business significantly, offering his advice to hundreds of life insurance clients who previously were not receiving help with retirement planning or investments. He strongly believes in the model of “service to others is service to self,” with 2024 marking his 8th year as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado. Matt, his wife Erin, and daughter Annie reside in Centennial, CO.
